Individual project
PHILIPS Lighting Control Systems

In this research project I worked as an intern for the Philips Lighting Control Systems group. During this research project an iterative design process was adopted in which I designed and evaluated a new interface and behaviour for the OccuSwitch office lighting system.

The new interface has five pre-sets per side of the room, and will keep the combined light intensity of the sun and luminaries consistent. In this way energy will be saved by making use of the sunlight, while in the meantime providing sufficient light in order to work.
